A bustling shopping center awaits visitors in Hudson, Massachusetts- Welcome to Highland Commons. You’ll have great options to explore here, with Macy’s, J.C. Penney and Sears holding anchor. Whether you’re in the mood for some retail therapy or just want some delicious cafeteria food, there’s something for everyone at this open-air mall.
In October of 1986, Highland Commons opened its doors, made possible by the Highland Development Company—a partnership between the Simon Property Group and A.W. Perry Company. The mall ushered customers into a hub of shopping experiences as Filene’s, Jordan Marsh, and Lord & Taylor provided anchor stores. Eventually though, the mall underwent changes as Jordan Marsh shut its doors in 1996 and was swapped for J.C. Penney as the new tenant while Lord & Taylor closed up shop in 2004 and Macy’s strode in to take its place.
